Every month I will be giving a select group of independent bands my platform to share their music! This is Episode 2!

If you'd like to submit your music, fill out This Form.

Each artist will be forevermore added to a public Spotify playlist, known as "The Platform."

These are the second five bands to be featured! You can find each of their individual music videos and social media links below if you'd like to support them further.

Artist 1:

Sister Sleep (GA)

Song - "Do You Believe in the Power of a Curse?"

A bit about Sister Sleep (taken from their Spotify):

Sister Sleep
Sister Sleep

Sister Sleep is a queer, emocore sextet crafting self-proclaimed “Pronouns Music” in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. Capturing the spirit of the iconic emo and post-hardcore bands of the mid-to-late aughts, they channel the acts they grew up with, such as My Chemical Romance, The Used, AFI, Silverstein, Chiodos and more. Constantly pushing themselves beyond their inspirations and avoiding the slippery slope of nostalgia bait, Sister Sleep strives to be the kind of representation they want to see from the scene, wearing their queerness on their sleeves as aggressively as their horror and occult aesthetics. The band’s latest EP, Phantom Threads, independently released everywhere on October 11th, 2024.

Stories Through Storms (MO)

Song - "Fade"

A bit about Stories Through Storms (from their Spotify):

Stories Through Storms is a rising force in the Midwest metalcore scene, blending raw intensity with relentless ambition. Originally founded in 2013 by frontman Storm Ruby, the band built regional momentum before pausing due to personal differences. A decade later, in 2023, the project was reborn —revitalized with a darker, heavier sound and a sharpened vision. Partnering with Justin DeBlieck (ex–Ice Nine Kills), Stories Through Storms crafted a six-song EP that chronicles five years of struggle and growth. The result, , dropped in August 2024, marking a bold new chapter for the band. Since then, Stories Through Storms has hit the road hard—touring across the Midwest, seizing every stage, and delivering high-energy performances that leave lasting impressions. Their relentless work ethic led to a distribution deal with Teamwrk Records in late 2025, setting the stage for an ambitious release plan through 2027: new music every two months, supported by consistent content and live shows. On October 23, 2025, the band launched this next era with their single , the first of many releases that promise to push the boundaries of modern metalcore. With a sound that’s as ferocious as it is focused, Stories Through Storms is a band poised to carve its name deep into the scene.

Artist 4:

New Reality (NY)

Song - "Disappear"

A bit about New Reality (from their Spotify):

New Reality is a 5-piece, post-hardcore band from Rochester, NY.

Not to contain themselves in a sub-genre, the band has worked to expand on what heavy music can be. Breaking the norm of the post-hardcore genre. Fusing raw emotion with grit and melody, dark undertones with synth-pop elements; creating their own distinct identity. Choosing to embrace the reality that is humanity. Touching on darker emotions and feelings in-order to find themselves.

Drawing inspiration from bands such as Dayseeker, Silverstein, Bad Omens, and Sleep Token, New Reality aims to create their own niche in the industry, keeping to their core identity.

New Reality is Steven Swenszkowski (vocals), Zach O’Connor (guitar), Tim Brugger (guitar), Cory Brugger (bass), and Chris Ioannone (drums).
